Hollywood Conservative Tim Allen Ready for ‘Last Man Standing’ Revival After ‘Roseanne’ Comeback

Comedian Tim Allen is ready for a “Last Man Standing” revival on ABC.

Allen, a conservative, told Fox News he is inspired by the support he’s received from those who want his popular sitcom, which was mysteriously canned last summer despite high ratings, in light of ABC’s “Roseanne” revival:

“The support from all the fans to bring back ‘Last Man Standing’ is truly overwhelming to me and so appreciated. I, along with the talented writers, wonderful crew and terrific actors would definitely entertain the idea of bringing the show back as there is so much gas left in the tank, more to be said, and laughs to be had.

I know fans would love nothing more than for us to take the cover off, fire up the engine, back this car out of the garage and get it back on the highway, full-throttle. My sentiment sits in the front seat beside you.”

“Last Man Standing” has been praised as one of the few sitcoms on TV that portrayed a conservative worldview. Allen’s blue-collar character, Mike Baxter, was a supporter of President Donald Trump, though he frequently poked fun at the leader’s unorthodox style.

The 64-year-old star’s comments came after comedian Roseanne Barr revealed this week that her sitcom character by the same name will likewise be a Trump supporter in a working-class family.

Allen said he was “stunned and blindsided” when ABC canceled “Last Man Standing.” While the network said the cancellation had nothing to do with politics, Allen said ABC “dismissed” his conservative fan base.
